Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)A relationship ending — whether it was your choice or not — leaves a particular kind of ache, because it's grief for something that's still walking around in the world without you. Romans 8:28 gets quoted a lot, sometimes too quickly, as if it erases the pain. It doesn't promise this didn't hurt. It promises it isn't wasted, even the parts you can't see the purpose of yet.
