One thing that isn't supposed to exist among Christians today, but still does anyway, is *jealousy.* *Song of Solomon 2:15* says, _“Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”_ The Believer is the vine in this context. Jealousy is one of those little foxes that attack subtly & ruins the vine. How does jealousy slowly ruin a Christian? It darkens the heart. And without a pure heart, no one can be close to God. *Psalm 24:3-4 ESV* _“Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.”_ It's not difficult to spot a shallow and carnal Christian: they easily get jealous and envious of other people. No Christian with jealousy in their heart is close to God. One might know scriptures and speak in tongues, but with the spirit of jealousy operating in them, they're not different from the mundane person out there in the world. If this touched you where you didn't expect, you have two options: *either repent so you can draw close to God with a clean heart,* or *continue faking being spiritual.*
