Japan isn't a culture that promotes stealing and I can attest to that. Of course, it is rumored that they will take your umbrellas and bicycles. And I have seen in the news of hefty heists of persons stealing millions of yen. But on a whole they don't steal. I have left, dropped or forgotten items and returned the next day to find it at lost and found. Even just now at work, I left wipes in the bathroom stall and I didn't know and I just visited the bathroom and saw it on the counter top. 🙃 One day last year, I left a sweater and I didn't even miss it until the weekend. I panicked and was wondering where it was. I even asked someone who was waiting on me at the supermarket to check for me there and it wasn't there. On the way home I tried to retrace my steps in my head and couldn't remember. While I was waiting on the train 🚆 I asked God to "show mi nuh". And right when I was to enter leave the station to enter the train I saw a vision of the sweater in top of the ATM machine at the bank. I was so happy and as soon as I arrived I ran to the bank and asked for it, and it was given to me.
