You Are Responsible for What You Say and Will Be Held ACCOUNTABLE for It. The Bible instructs us in *James 3:1*, _“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”_ Certain comments you read in my previous post is one of the reasons why the above scripture exists in the Bible. I'm grateful it does. Imagine a scenario where I woke up one day and made a post with claims concerning personal spiritual experiences that trigger uncertainty in the minds of those who read them. I mean, spiritual experiences that the average Believer could barely tell whether they're of God or not; whether they're scriptural or not. Then I leave it hanging, without providing scriptures to back up those claims. Even when confronted by fellow Believers, I fail to provide scriptures to back up my claims. If I did that, there are many Believers here who would be swift enough to reprove and call me to order. At the same time, I would lose followers and create doubt in people's minds concerning the genuineness of my calling. Here's another scenario: A married itinerant preacher received a news in the mission field that his wife, whom he's been away from for many months got pregnant. Then on confronting the wife, she says it was God who got her pregnant. She would have to prove how that happened. Even though this (seemingly) happened once in Scripture—in the story of Joseph and Mary—it's not expected to repeat itself in history, EVER again for any reason! Such miracles and spiritual experiences are *neither consistent with God's character nor His dealings with His people throughout scriptures.* *Acts 17:11* (NIV) _Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true._
