The thoughts you think before going to bed can have up to 80% influence on the dreams you'll see. Sometimes when people send me certain eating dreams for interpretation, by the help of the Holy Spirit, I could readily see through the reason why they ate in their dream: *they thought about food before going to bed.* I often discourage going to bed hungry. The Bible confirms this scenario exactly in *Isaiah 29:8*, _“A hungry person dreams of eating but wakes up still hungry. A thirsty person dreams of drinking but is still faint from thirst when morning comes. So it will be with your enemies, with those who attack Mount Zion.”_ Except you're on fast (which will require you to be very disciplined in mind and not think about food), don't go to bed hungry. The enemy has also been quietly using this as one of his tools. Do not be ignorant of his devices. If the kingdom of darkness plots certain attacks against someone in their dreams, some of these attacks require that an agent of darkness projects related thoughts into the target's mind, and then have them dwell on those thoughts before dozing off. This creates a fertile ground for the demons to succeed in executing the specific attack when the target is asleep. For instance, sexual dreams. The kingdom of darkness will often default to using this strategy on someone they can't easily manipulate into sexual acts in their dreams. The Bible instructs us to take captive of thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:5). This is defensive spiritual warfare. This is one area where this will be needed. A Believer must gain mastery in this. Be spiritually sensitive and watch your thoughts before going to bed. Reject strange thoughts and replace them with godly ones or the Word of God. You can as well 'manipulate' this to your advantage. Don't think on what you don't want to see. Think about Heaven, Jesus Christ, Angels, or other godly thoughts before sleeping. You stand a chance of triggering dreams in that direction when you sleep.
