(Shirk refers to the sin of ascribing divine attributes to anyone other than Allah) Shirk would be worshipping a creature. Christians worship the eternal Son who shares the Father's divine nature. Shirk does not apply when the One Being worshipped is God Himself. "Islam must deny the Son, not because the Son is unclear, but because the Son destroys the entire Islamic system."
