Objection #3: "The Bible is corrupted" 1. Define the Claim Ask what they mean. -Is it the message that changed, scribes made spelling errors, the original manuscripts are unknown, or someone told you that sentence and you never checked it? 2. Expose the first problem: No Muslim can define the corruption -They can't tell what, when, who changed or where the originals disagree with manuscripts. (Sources of manuscripts: P52 (Rylands Fragment, Codex Sinaiticus and Vaticanus) 3. Collapse the Quranic assumption -The Quran says the Bible is the Word of God, and it says Christians must judge by it, and it says no one can change God's words. (References: Surah 3:3; 5:46; 10:94) Nb: They're rejecting the Bible because of Islam and Islam came 600 years later. 4. Now present the actual evidence -"There are many versions of the Bible" No, there are many translations, just like there are many English Qurans. -"Christians changed their book." Show it, verse, manuscript, time, person. History has millions of pages of documentation, and your claim has none." (Manuscript Evidence: P52-John 18, P46-Paul's letters, P66- major portions of John, P75- Luke/John, Codex Vaticanus & Sinaiticus) -"The Quran is preserved. Yours isn't " The New Testament has over 5,800 Greek manuscripts, 10,000 Latin, and over 15,000 in other languages. The Quran relies on a 1924 Egyptian standardization and burned variant readings. -"You don't know who wrote it " There are various authors and early church fathers quoted them long before Islam, like Ignatius, Polycarp and Irenaeus. (Sources: Bible written Ad 45-95 Quran compiled AD 650s (Uthmanic codex) 5. Closing Statement History, manuscripts, archeology, Quran, doesn't say 'The Bible is corrupted'. Islam says that and Islam came too late to be able to say that.
