How to respond to all Islamic variants and objections (I will share SHORT responses, based on previous post.) Objection #1 "Where did Jesus say, 'I am God, worship Me'?" 1. Collapse the English-Formula Requirement -They're asking for a 21st century English sentence from a 1st century Jewish Rabbi who didn't speak English. That's like asking Muhammad to declare he's a prophet in Spanish. Wrong century, wrong language, wrong rule 2. Natural transition to equal scales -If Jesus must say your sentence word for word, then Muhammad must too. Ask them to show you where Muhammad said, 'I am the prophet of God, believe in me,' im those exact words If the rule doesn't work on Islam, it doesn't work on Christianity 3. Introduce the Evidence without losing momentum -Instead of asking for a sentence Jesus never would've spoken, let's look at what He actually did and said. (Counting on fingers): 1. He took God's divine names. (John 8:58) 2. He took God's exclusive titles. (John 10:11) 3. He exercised God's authority. (Matthew 5:21-22; 28:18) 4. He forgave sin. (Mark 2:5-7) 5. He raised the dead. (John 11:43-44) 6. He received worship. (Matthew 14:33) 7. And He claimed the throne of Judgment over all humanity. (John 5:22-23; Matthew 25:31-32) 4. Closing statement The real answer is Jesus said He was God through; His titles, His authority, His works, His worship, His resurrection, And everywhere!
