Engaging Catholics with the Gospel What's the best way to share the Gospel with a Catholic? -Ask, "If you died tonight, do you know for sure you'd go to heaven?" Most Catholics aren't certain. Show them 1 John 5:13, where they can know they have eternal life. The Gospel is about assurance in Christ, not church membership. How should Christians respond when Catholics say, "We believe in Jesus too"? -Ask, "Which Jesus?" The Catholic Jesus is re-sacrificed daily in the Mass, relies on Mary, and doesn't guarantee salvation. The biblical Jesus finished in the work (John 19:30), is our only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and gives eternal life (John 10:28). What encouragement can you give to Christians witnessing to Catholics? -Catholics are often sincere but misled. Be patient, show grace, and focus on Jesus. Many Catholics feel trapped in a system of works----help them see that Jesus alone is enough (Hebrews 7: 25). Plant seeds, trust God, and let the Holy Spirit do the rest.
