How I Disarmed and Overcame Fear With the Word of God

I used to think that fear was normal; that it was something that was created by God to save us from danger. I thought fear was a good thing.

I had a problem of not believing God in everything He would say, and had a problem of not trusting Him at all. Everything the devil would say I would believe it 98%, but fail to believe God.

After some time, I realised that what I was doing was very wrong, and I tried seeking answers to stop believing the devil over God.

Desiring to change made God to expose the devil. I finally saw how the enemy was manipulating me to believe him over God.

The truth is, whatever you choose to believe will often happen—whether it's something you are scared of or one that you're hoping for. Just because you believe it, that thing will likey happen.

I used to believe what the enemy would tell me most of the time. I had 98% faith in what the devil would tell me. With that so much faith in the whispers of the enemy, I ignorantly gave him that power he doesn't truly have.

When you believe something with little or no doubt at all, you have given it the power to manifest.

Just as Job said in Job 3:25, “For the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.”

I realised that I caused all those negative things to happen me, because I believed them with no doubt—and then I turned around and blamed God.

So at a point, I had enough, and decided to turn things around.

The only thing that could set me free from this problem was the truth. Even the bible says that you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32).

I thought the enemy was telling me the truth about all the things he would say to me.

But the actual truth is...

1. The devil is a liar he will never tell the truth. 2. The devil will never help me or tell me anything in order to help me. Instead, he wants to destroy my faith and my relationship with God.

3. The devil wants to be God in your life, he wants you to believe him over God in everything. I took a decision to never believe what the enemy says anymore. I said to myself 'I will never believe the whispers of the enemy over the voice of God anymore.' Never again!

I held on to those three things and they really set me free. Then my faith in God began to grow and increase daily.

Today, I can boldly say that I am at another level, and I only want to go higher. I have freedom in my faith, things have become easier for me. Life as a whole has become much easier.

Fear is a demon. Fear never gives up—it knocks on all doors to enter. If it fails on the door of thoughts, it will go to the door of your emotions and make you feel scared. If you don't chase it away, you give it permission to possess you.

If it fails there, it will go to the door of your mind and show you what you are scared of. And if you don't chase it away, it takes charge of you.

Fear is the culprit—it makes you believe the enemy over God. The Word of God is truth, it disarms fear. So stay full of the Word.
